The program recognized 620 hospitals based on data for best treatments of certain conditions, including heart attack, surgical care, inpatient psychiatric services, stroke and other conditions.

The 620 hospitals represent about 18 percent of hospitals reporting the measures in 2011.

OhioHealth's Doctors Hospital and Grant Medical Center in Columbus, as well as Berger Hospital in Circleville, Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, also of OhioHealth, and Mount Carmel New Albany Surgical Hospital were the Central Ohio hospitals recognized as “Top Performers on Key Quality Measures.”
