Our Breast Disease Management Team includes all of the disciplines necessary to provide comprehensive, coordinated care — surgeons, medical oncologists, plastic surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists and pathologists. There are dedicated nurses on our physician teams as well, with expertise in breast cancer patient care and the personal knowledge to answer your questions and help manage your symptoms. We also provide nutritional counseling, physical and occupational therapy and genetic counseling.
At Mount Carmel, your team of experts are working together, communicating with one another, every step of the way. All breast cancer cases are presented and discussed by our team of experts at an Interdisciplinary Breast Cancer Case Review conference every week. As a Mount Carmel patient, you'll benefit from the additional input provided from our cancer team.
