Mount Carmel offers advanced treatment for patients with colorectal and intestinal disorders, as well as those diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Our experienced surgeons use state-of-the-art technologies and techniques, including minimally invasive surgery to not only treat colorectal disease but also preserve bladder, bowel and sexual function.

Mount Carmel's enterostomal therapy program offers patients counseling prior to ostomy surgery, as well as post-operative care, education and stoma care.

We're actively involved in clinical research, offering a variety of cancer treatment protocols for colorectal patients. We participate in a genetics risk clinical trial that will describe the incidence and prevalence of genetically determined colon cancer risk for Ohio. Mount Carmel also is an active participant in a number of other FDA- and NCI-sponsored research programs involving the efficacy of a variety of chemotherapy and radiation regimens in colorectal patients.
