Community Health Resource Center

The Community Health Resource Center at Mount Carmel West brings together a variety of health, educational and support resources to the local community, patients and their families, Mount Carmel colleagues and physicians.

The goal of the Community Health Resource Center is to engage the community and provide education, health and wellness services to the entire community, with a special focus on Franklinton and the communities around Mount Carmel West. In moving healthcare information and education beyond the traditional hospital setting, the goal is to better prevent and manage chronic medical conditions, encourage healthy lifestyle habits and promotes holistic wellness - resulting in a healthier community.

Mount Carmel's Community Health Resource Center is a referral center for the entire community. It features a state-of-the-art Consumer Health Library, demonstration kitchen and numerous health and wellness services.

The kitchen classroom at the Consumer Health Resouce Center can comfortably seat 64 people.

The CHRC relies on charitable donations to fund programs and services and to provide space to the underserved population. In exchange for utilizing the CHRC, if groups charge participants for their services, we encourage our partners to make a monetary donation to the CHRC through the Mount Carmel Foundation so we can continue to support our programs and services.
