Why I chose Mount Carmel?

Since my interview day I had the feeling of being at home. I saw smiles everywhere and realized that everybody had everybody's cell phones including attendings. This place really runs like a family business. MCH is a state-of-the art institution where the more complex operations look easy when the surgeon walks the resident through it. Here, if you are a resident you are treated as a physician and a surgeon, ancillary staff and other services have a true respect for your knowledge and skills. The opportunities to tailor your own training are endless: you want a little more vascular? you can go scrub with any of the VS's; you think you need one more hand sawn anastomosis? just let your attendings know and soon your phone will ring! In general being hired in MCH is the best event of my training as surgical resident.

Interests

Spending time with my newborn, wife, & family, soccer, and treveling.
