Expanding Hospital & Services

Growth has been a theme at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s, where multiple new facilities and renovations have occurred in the past several years. We recently announced plans to invest $100 million over the next five years to expand and develop a full-service heart center. The new heart center will offer a wide range of state-of-the-art cardiovascular services, including diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, interventional cardiology services like angioplasty, non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic testing, electrophysiology services, and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional services. An open-heart surgery program is planned as well.

Facility Features

One of the campus’ newest buildings, the Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Maternity Pavilion is the only hospital building in the Columbus area designed and utilized exclusively for maternity care. It welcomes nearly 5,000 deliveries per year and includes a Level III special care nursery. The recently renovated emergency department sees 72,000 visits per year, and the hospital itself features 11 state-of-the-art operating rooms and dedicated angio and cath labs. The campus also boasts a dedicated Women’s Health Center and a Cancer Center offering outpatient infusion and radiation therapy services.
