At Mount Carmel, we take a balanced approach to your development. Mount Carmel's Internal Medicine Residency Program is a 3-year, fully-accredited program providing a solid foundation in general internal medicine that prepares residents for American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification.
Additionally, we provide a wide range of clinical experiences to prepare our residents for their chosen practice environment. Inpatient management and core subspecialty rotations are emphasized in the first year, with progressive experiences in the outpatient and subspecialty settings emphasized in the second and third years.
Finally, we foster a culture of community engagement which encourages our physicians to get involved and make a difference in their communities. We believe that it is the balance of these three qualities: scholarship, clinical experience, and community engagement that makes a Mount Carmel Physician special.
We currently have 24 residency positions, eight per year. Find out how to become a member of our team!
