As a family medicine resident, you will see your patients at one of our two outpatient facilities, the Mount Carmel Family Practice Center or the St. Ann's Family Practice Center. You will perform a full-range of outpatient services including EKG, pulmonary function testing, colposcopy, and minor surgical procedures. Plus, both offices utilize an electronic medical record system with computers in every exam room. First year residents spend one half-day per week, second year residents three half-days, and third year residents four half-days per week seeing their patients at these offices.

The Mount Carmel Family Practice Center is located in Marble Cliff near Mount Carmel West Hospital. We moved our location to a brand-new office building in September 2004. It is a 13,000 square foot brick building featuring 16 exam rooms, two procedure rooms, two conference rooms, a separate resident work room and precepting room (both with additional computers), a cathedral ceiling front-office area, faculty offices, and many more amenities. Along with the structural features, our friendly staff, faculty, and fellow residents ensure that you will enjoy seeing your patients in this facility.
