Dr. Hartranft is the Program Director for the Mount Carmel General Surgery Residency Program and the Director for the Mount Carmel West Division of Vascular Surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery for both General Surgery and General Vascular Surgery and is in private practice with Mid-Ohio Surgical Associates. In addition, Dr. Hartranft is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and numerous other national societies, including the Christian Medical and Dental Society. He is past president of the Mount Carmel Medical Staff, Columbus Surgical Society, and Columbus Vascular Society. Dr. Hartranft has received several teaching awards from Mount Carmel, including the Thomas H. Hartranft Outstanding Leadership Award. In his spare time, Dr. Hartranft enjoys attending The Ohio State University Buckeyes' football games and equestrian activities.

Charles R. Holden, M.D.

Dr. Holden is the Associate Program Director for the Department of Surgery and the current Chairman for the Department of Surgery at Mount Carmel West. He is a graduate of Mount Carmel's surgery residency program and certified by the American Board of General Surgery in both General Surgery and General Vascular Surgery. He is in private practice with Mid Ohio Surgical Associates. In addition, Dr. Holden is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of numerous societies for both General Surgery and General Vascular Surgery. Dr. Holden is an active member of the teaching staff and is dedicated to the training of medical students from The Ohio State University and Wright State University. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Holden enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his five children.
