Mount Carmel Health System has three
separate and unique medical staffs; Mount Carmel Health (Mount Carmel East and
Mount Carmel West), Mount Carmel St. Ann's, and Mount Carmel New Albany
Surgical Hospital. Each medical staff has their own set of Bylaws and Rules and
Regulations. All medical staff administrative functions are kept separate and
distinct, including structure, approval processes and medical staff dues.

There is a Medical Staff Office located on each campus. All four offices can
assist members of the medical staff with:
- Credentialing issues (reappointment, additional privilege requests, etc.)
- Call schedules
- Meeting times/locations, agenda item requests, etc.
- Medical staff calendars
- Demographic information changes

To apply for privileges, download our pre-application. (For
Mount Carmel New Albany pre-application, please call 614-775-6611).
After your pre-application is reviewed and
you are determined eligible, the Medical Staff Office will send you the full
application to complete.
Please know, approval of your application on one medical staff does
not mean you are automatically approved to be on another medical staff. When
applying to one of our other medical staffs,, however, much of the verification
information may be shared in order to expedite the credentialing process.
