The Mount Carmel Orthopedic Residency Program participates in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP). Only fourth-year US medical students are considered for positions. Applications for the Mount Carmel Orthopedic Residency Training Program must be received through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) no later than October 31. Medical Students will be invited for interviews in early December, and interviews take place in January. The dates for our 2014 interviews will be January 8, 15 and 22.
Students are encouraged to complete orthopedic electives at Mount Carmel. Electives from July through November are reserved for those 4th year US students pursuing orthopedic residency positions. December, January and February are reserved for students who have been invited to interview but have not completed a formal elective at Mount Carmel. They are welcome to spend a day at Mount Carmel before or after interviews to further familiarize themselves with our program. Other 4th year students may do orthopedic electives from March through May. Medical students are required to send up-to-date transcripts along with other necessary documents to be considered for a rotation.
If you have further questions on how to apply for elective rotations, please call 614-234-1444 to receive step-by-step instructions about our application process. If, after listening to the pre-recorded instructions, you still have questions about our program, click here to e-mail the Program Administrator.
We look forward to receiving and reviewing your residency application. Thank you for your interest in the Mount Carmel Orthopedic Residency Training Program.
