Knowledge is power, and that's certainly true for gynecologic cancer. The more you know, the better you can battle. That's why Mount Carmel offers a host of educational resources to not only help you learn about the disease, but give you the strength and support you need to beat it. Those resources include:
We host a wide range of classes and events for patients and family members, including a support group, a variety of educational programs on topics of interest and even yoga.
We have plenty of informative materials for you to read and review, too, including:
Do research on the Internet, view educational DVDs or read a book in our family-room-style resource library at Jan's Place in Mount Carmel St. Ann's. Our sizable collection of cancer support materials, sponsored and supported by the American Cancer Society, is also available for check-out. Patient resource libraries are also available in the Siegel Center at Mount Carmel East and in the Health Sciences Library at Mount Carmel West.
