Anticoagulation Centers
The Mount Carmel Anticoagulation Center is a service established to carefully monitor and manage the medication that patients take to prevent blood clots. Monthly, patients receive a blood test to ensure stable and effective levels of Coumadin® (Warfarin) as well as a review of all other medications for safety and efficacy. The clinic is staffed by registered pharmacists with special training in anticoagulation and also offers patients blood pressure checks and weight analysis.

A physician referral is required, and patients must meet with the clinic pharmacist at least once a month (more often when first starting Coumadin® (Warfarin) to ensure the correct dosage).
