Breast Cancer Care Class
Mount Carmel offers a breast cancer care class to address the special needs of breast cancer patients before and after surgery. Taught by a variety of health professionals, this one-day class covers a host of topics, including nutrition, emotional health, tips on dealing with chemotherapy and radiation, breast prosthesis, available community resources, support groups and more. Participants also have the chance to ask questions and share their concerns in a relaxed and informal environment. A support person is welcome to attend.

The Breast Cancer Care class is offered free through funding from the Mount Carmel Foundation. Classes are held monthly from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and rotate among Mount Carmel East, West and St. Ann's hospitals. Lunch is provided.
