 The Society of Chest Pain Centers accredits only those hospitals that demonstrate excellence in eight key areas of care for chest pain and heart attacks. Mount Carmel East, West and St. Ann’s have earned this accreditation. Together with our local EMS agencies we’ve created a Comprehensive Chest Pain Program that helps ensure early, accurate diagnoses and fast treatment. This streamlined process and high standard of care allows Mount Carmel to quickly distinguish heart attacks from other chest-pain causes, provide the proper care, achieve better outcomes and get patients home sooner.
