For women with high-risk pregnancies, Mount Carmel
provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art diagnostic and monitoring services and
genetic counseling. Our experienced perinatologists help detect pregnancy complications
or fetal abnormalities so that precautions can be taken to help ensure that our
patients' pregnancies, and their babies, are as safe and healthy as possible.
Mount
Carmel St Ann's is one of only eight hospitals nationwide to be designated a satellite
research site for maternal-fetal medicine by the National Institute of Child
Health and Human Development.
This
designation ensures that the maternal-fetal specialists at Mount Carmel East,
West and St. Ann's
are on the cutting edge of maternal-fetal medicine and can apply the findings
of their important research to promote optimal maternal-fetal outcomes for our
patients.
Mount Carmel is a member of the Columbus Fetal Medicine Collaborative. The collaborative is designed to provide patients with Columbus’ leading expertise in the field of fetal medicine, education on services and treatments, as well as a caring and supportive staff to those involved in any high-risk pregnancy.
