In addition to the proprietary PCLC core curriculum, Mount Carmel offers participants access to three hospital-based palliative care programs, clinical and financial database training, staffing ideas, billing instruction, quality improvement programs, transition management between hospital and hospice; hospital and long term care; and effective interface with Emergency Departments and ICUS. A year of post training mentoring on palliative care program planning and implementation from Mount Carmel's PCLC faculty is an important aspect of the program. Mount Carmel has trained over 130 health systems across the United States.
