Group Details

Facilitated by our Bariatric Dietitian, this group offers ongoing nutrition education and support for Mount Carmel patients who are one-year or more post surgery. Participants enjoy open discussions about weight management techniques and advice on eating healthy at restaurants, reading food labels and healthy snacking. They will also learn how to avoid unhealthy grazing or snacking, and more.

Group Details

This support group is designed for individuals who would like to learn from Mount Carmel medical professionals and receive emotional support from others who've shared similar experiences. The wide range of topics includes stress management, exercise, reconstructive surgery and returning to the workplace. Participants will also enjoy the benefits of ongoing patient advocacy and a few fun extras like a recipe swap and fashion show. Mount Carmel welcomes those who would like to attend before surgery and those who plan to join us for a long time thereafter.

This support group is designed for adults with a chronic lung disease such as asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis or other long-term lung disorder. Participants are encouraged to come, share and listen to related topics, medication updates, and exercises appropriate for the group.

Group Details

Emotional support for and from women living with breast cancer. Led by psychologists, social workers, and registered nurses, these groups are ongoing. Participants can join any time. Call for further information: Mount Carmel St. Ann's, 614-898-8433.

Help to understand and express the powerful feelings that often linger after on has been the victim of violence, or touched by violence toward others. Circle of Hope: For Female Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse
This 12-week therapy group is for women 18 years old and older who are incest survivors. It is designed to offer support, education and processing. Members must be working with an individual therapist in the community concurrently with this group and complete a CTAP assessment prior to joining.

Healing Circle: For Female Survivors of Sexual Assault
This 10-week therapy group is for women 18 years old and older who are survivors of sexual assault. It is designed to offer support, education, coping and processing. Members must complete a CTAP assessment prior to joining.

The Mount Carmel Coping with Pregnancy and Infant Loss series assists those who have lost a pregnancy or are dealing with the death of a newborn baby. This informal group seeks to educate patients, families and the community about the process of stroke recovery. Participants interact with others who have experienced the difficulties of a stroke and can share their experiences safely. The program includes guest speakers and educational videos.
