- Discuss the basics of billing for ultrasound from a provider’s perspective
- Recognize some of the limitations of ultrasound
- Explain scanning basics and machine care

Part 2: Applications for Point-of-Care Ultrasound Use in the Emergency Department
Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify when to perform focused, point-of-care ultrasound vs obtaining a more comprehensive ultrasound evaluation
- Review probe and machine cleaning procedures
- Discuss ultrasound use with procedures, AAA, FAST and limited pelvic evaluations
- Discuss ultrasound use in evaluation of the critical patient
- Discuss what to do when finding abnormalities on ultrasound
- Recognize some of the limitations of ultrasound
