“This facility builds on the relationship that Mount Carmel has had with the residents of Grove City, most of whom have considered Mount Carmel as their healthcare home for many years,” Claus von Zychlin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mount Carmel Health System, said at the ceremony. “We are very proud to continue to build upon our efforts to be part of the great community of Grove City.”
The Mount Carmel Grove City campus houses a full service, free-standing 24-hour emergency department. This state-of-the-art facility features 15 exam rooms and fast-track bays. In addition to emergency services, comprehensive lab and imaging services will be available, including x-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound.
“Grove City is one of the fastest growing areas of central Ohio and Mount Carmel is proud to have this opportunity to bring high-quality, patient-centered care close to home,” Sean McKibben, President and Chief Operating Officer of Mount Carmel West, said during the opening ceremony.
Mount Carmel Grove City will be open for patients on Jan. 21, 2014.
“We have been blessed with one of the greatest gifts our community could receive,” said Richard L. “Ike” Stage, Mayor of Grove City. “We are excited to be expanding our wonderful relationship with Mount Carmel through this beautiful facility and its staff.”
The campus will also feature a medical office building that will be home to both primary care and specialty physician offices, along with outpatient services like physical therapy and cardiac rehabilitation. The building will open in the spring.
