For more than 120 years, Mount Carmel College of Nursing has shaped exceptional nurses — compassionate, clinically skilled professionals who strengthen our healthcare system and our communities. Today, the need has never been greater. Ohio alone has 9,000 unfilled nursing positions, leaving patients and providers without the support they desperately need.
Scholarships can change that. For many students, financial support is the difference between pursuing their calling and setting it aside. By investing in nursing education, donors open the door for more individuals to enter the profession and bring healing to our neighbors.
Through the Humanity Behind the Healing Campaign, Mount Carmel will expand access to nursing scholarships, helping more students become the nurses our community depends on and ensuring a healthier future for all.

True health reaches far beyond hospital walls. Housing, food security, financial stability, and other social factors shape a person’s well being just as profoundly as medical care. That’s why Mount Carmel doesn’t wait for people to come to us — we bring care directly into the community, meeting individuals where they are and when they need us most.
From home visits for new moms and babies, to urgent care for people living on the streets, to counseling for those healing from trauma, our Community Health and Well Being programs deliver compassionate, whole person support at no cost to patients.
The Humanity Behind the Healing Campaign will strengthen and sustain these vital services, ensuring that every neighbor — regardless of circumstance — has access to the care, dignity, and connection they deserve.

Honoring each sacred life until the very end is at the heart of care at Mount Carmel. We believe no one should face life’s final days alone. Our hospice program provides peace, comfort, and connection for those with life limiting illness, while supporting loved ones and caregivers through one of life’s most delicate transitions.
Philanthropy makes the human touches possible — the moments of dignity, presence, and compassion that ease this journey. Through the Humanity Behind the Healing Campaign, Mount Carmel will be able to meet the growing need for hospice and bereavement services as our community ages, ensuring every person receives the tender, whole person care they deserve.
