Every dollar raised and spent by the Mount Carmel Foundation positively impacts lives and helps make our community healthier. We are the indispensable partner of the Mount Carmel Health System in its sacred commitment to serve all people, regardless of their faith, socio-economic circumstances or ethnicity.
MOUNT CARMEL HEALTH SYSTEM: A TRANSFORMING, HEALING PRESENCE
Today, Mount Carmel Health System (MCHS) is a complex, integrated health ministry. Our Mission is to serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. We do that with the vision to be the most trusted health partner for life.
As one of the largest health systems in central Ohio, MCHS provides people-centered primary and specialty care across five major hospitals—Mount Carmel Dublin, Mount Carmel East, Mount Carmel Grove City, Mount Carmel New Albany and Mount Carmel St. Ann’s—along with the Mount Carmel College of Nursing and dozens of other acute, ambulatory and specialty care centers. MCHS operates as a member of Trinity Health, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit, faith-based health care systems. This national partnership provides MCHS with stability, resources and access to best practices to navigate the complexities of modern healthcare.
THE CRITICAL ROLE OF PHILANTHROPY
Established in 1984, the Mount Carmel Foundation represents the formalization of the community-driven charity that launched Hawkes Hospital of Mount Carmel. Just as the Sisters offered their services freely and relied on the gift of community support in 1886, the Foundation today stewards donor gifts to support Mount Carmel’s vital Mission. The Foundation serves as the primary fundraising entity, empowering the health system to go beyond the operational requirements of Mount Carmel’s ministry and invest in life-changing programs that are vital to our community’s well-being.
