Amy TomaszewskiAmy Cain is currently the Assistant Vice President of Operational Excellence at Grange Insurance* and leads Continuous Improvement for the enterprise, as well as the IT Business Management Office and Enterprise Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Amy has worked in the property & casualty insurance industry for 32 years, in various roles beginning with multi-line claims and claims litigation handling, and later roles in claims management, technical and soft skill training, project management and communications, and eventually operations management roles. Since joining Grange Insurance in 2002, Amy has moved through training and project leadership roles into enterprise process improvement, developing the company’s Operational Excellence Continuous Improvement department in 2011, and subsequently implementing an enterprise-wide Lean visual management and team collaboration system and a successful Lean Six Sigma Green Belt learning program for Grange associates.

Amy is passionate about developing engaged associates, advancing continuous improvement maturity across the company, and improving associates’ daily work by driving efficiency in all business areas. She believes in a voice of the customer approach to improvement and utilizing continuous improvement methodologies for metric-driven results.

Amy is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Toledo with a Bachelor in Business Administration, and holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (C.P.C.U.) designation. She has previously served as a board member for Make-A-Wish and has served as a board member on Ohio State Fisher College’s Center for Operational Excellence since 2012. Amy’s three children are all graduates and attendees of Ohio State who have run their share of marathons and half-marathons with Amy, as well as nine years of Pelotonia 100-mile bike rides to raise funds for the James Cancer Center. She resides in Powell, Ohio with her husband and two energetic Siberian huskies.
