Courtnee Carrigan


Courtnee CarriganCourtney Carrigan has over 15 years of experience as a nonprofit leader, executive trainer, and strategic facilitator of Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. She combines innovative approaches with effective communication to influence positive change and build organizational capacity. Throughout Ms. Carrigan’s career, she has successfully worked with businesses, government, nonprofits, and universities to develop, design, and implement well-researched policies and practices that result in inclusive and equitable workplaces.

In late 2015, Courtnee left the nonprofit sector to pursue her dream of becoming an entrepreneur. She started a starting a capacity-building firm specializing in diversity, equity, and inclusion solutions. Her goal is to equip individuals and organizations with critical knowledge, skills, and assistance to improve organizational performance.

Ms. Carrigan is a recipient of the 2017 Columbus Business First Diversity in Business Award. She has been featured in Ohio Business and Columbus CEO Magazines. Courtnee is also a graduate of Leadership Columbus, The Ohio Minority Supplier Diversity Council MBE Academy, and African American Leadership Academy.

Courtnee currently serves on the Boards of WOSU and New Direction Career Center, Ohio Association of Non-Profit Organizations Council of Consultants, a member of Columbus Rotary Club, NAWBO Columbus Diversity Committee, and Big Brothers Big Sisters African American Advisory Council.

Courtnee graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a dual major in Communications and African American Studies. Ms. Carrigan has also completed her graduate work in Urban Planning and Community Development from her alma mater, the University of Cincinnati.
