Lisa Gutierrez
Lisa Gutierrez serves as the Managing Partner of LG Strategies, LLC., a consulting firm she launched in 2012 focusing on leadership, executive coaching, high performing teams, and Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging (DEIB).
Prior to that she was the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer (CDIO) for Indiana University Health. In this role, she provided strategic direction for the system’s ongoing diversity and inclusion efforts which included strategies focused on interpersonal, institutional and societal contexts and stakeholders.
Lisa’s passion is connecting the dots between amazing people, their backgrounds (or superpowers) and solving complex problems. With over 20,000+ hours as a practitioner in DEI, Lisa focuses on leveraging differences to help drive results and serves as a strategic thought partner to all regarding the intersection of diversity, inclusion, and innovation.
Prior to this, Lisa was the Chief Diversity Officer for Cardinal Health, a $130+ billion company with over 50,000 employees in 60 countries. She led the development and deployment of strategies to support a diverse and inclusive culture fostering respect and appreciation for diversity of thought, experience and background during a time when Cardinal Health had over 40 acquisitions in 4 years.
She also served as the executive director of global diversity at Cummins, Inc. In this role, she led all global diversity and inclusion strategies, including internal consulting, education and communication to more than 50,000 employees in 50 countries. Lisa’s background also includes more than 15 years at Procter and Gamble, Deloitte Consulting and the University of California in a variety of assignments encompassing both line and staff functional experience in nine different industries.
Lisa is a board member on the Mount Carmel Foundation Board of Trustees and previously served on the board for the Columbus Council on World Affairs, and the Innovation Committee for American Essential Hospitals.
Gutierrez holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and organizational management from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She has traveled extensively, both within the United States and abroad and continues to mentor and coach individuals and leaders around the globe while also maintaining great relationships with her extended family and friends.
