Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD) (Ongoing)
Category   Vascular Screenings
Location   Mount Carmel East, West and St. Ann's
Description

Mount Carmel utilizes the ankle-brachial index (ABI), which is a simple screening that measures blood pressure in both your ankle and your arm, to detect PVD. If the ABI is abnormal, it is an indicator that leg arteries may be narrowed as a result of PVD.

Mount Carmel makes three different vascular screenings available at Mount Carmel East, West and St. Ann's. All screenings are performed using state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment in one of our ICAVL-accredited labs and interpreted by one of our board-certified physicians.
