When Carol Foster, a Mount Carmel colleague for more than 30 years, was diagnosed with cancer, her coworkers in the Clinical Informatics department were always by her side. They visited her in the hospital and brought fresh flowers to her bedside every day.

Soon after Carol's daughter, Aimee, got engaged, Carol's health took a turn for the worse. Knowing how important it was for Carol to watch Aimee walk down the aisle, Carol's coworkers sprang into action to arrange a wedding for Aimee and her fiancé. In three short days, they coordinated decorations, food and music for a beautiful wedding in Carol's living room. Carol passed just one week after Aimee's wedding.

"It meant so much to my family that my mom could be there to see me walk down the aisle. The love and compassion her coworkers showed for her was simply amazing. They aren’t just her coworkers—they are family," Aimee said.

Thanks to the Clinical Informatics team. Because of you, your kindness and generosity, the Foster family shared a moment they will never forget.
