Community Impact
Community Impact
At Mount Carmel, we will never forget our charitable mission to heal patients' minds, bodies and spirits, and improve the health of the communities we serve. Accomplishing that mission means providing healthcare not only to the patients at our hospitals, but also to the vulnerable members of our community who have limited access to basic health services and little or no ability to pay for them.
That's why Mount Carmel provides millions of dollars in uncompensated benefits to the community each year, including more than $141.3million in fiscal year 2024. Through services and many others mentioned in the FY24 Community Impact Report, Mount Carmel brings comfort and hope to tens of thousands of our neighbors each year.
Mount Carmel is committed to ensuring we comprehensively report all the IRS-defined community benefit happening across our system, as well as its total Community Impact to fully demonstrate the services and supports we provide in our communities.

Mount Carmel's work to improve the health and well-being of our community, especially the most vulnerable among us, is at the core of who we are.
The Community Health Needs Assessment is a result of a broad collaborative effort that identified and prioritized the greatest health needs in our community.
Providing compassionate, people-centered care in our community demonstrates our commitment to service, stewardship, and most importantly our Catholic heritage. And the results of our work are part of a legacy that serves our community now and into the future. We are grateful to each and every person who played a role in serving our community.
