Wanjiku Kabiru, MD

Dr. Wanjiku Kabiru is a Board Certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician and is the Assistant Program Director for the OB/GYN Residency Program at Mount Carmel St. Ann's. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Kabiru's honors and awards include numerous local and national teaching awards and research prizes. Throughout the past decade, she has held leadership positions in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and presented at national meetings. Mentoring and coaching are important aspects of her work and she seeks to improve women's health care through advances in medical education. Dr. Kabiru is dedicated to providing compassionate and excellent care to women and families experiencing a high-risk pregnancy. She has wealth of experience that comes from practicing perinatal medicine for almost 2 decades. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending sporting events, traveling and writing. Dr. Kabiru also enjoys volunteering in her local community.
