Mount Carmel Grove City Earns Baby Friendly Designation

We are pleased to announce that Mount Carmel Grove City has received the prestigious Baby-Friendly® Designation from Baby-Friendly USA – an honor that demonstrates our adherence to the highest standards of care for infant feeding and mother/baby bonding.

Those standards are built on a set of evidence-based practices recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) for optimal infant feeding support in the precious first days of a newborn’s life. Mount Carmel Grove City is one of only 486 Baby-Friendly hospitals in the United States.

Baby-Friendly USA is dedicated to supporting breastfeeding while respecting every woman’s right to make the best decision for herself and her family. The organization conducts a rigorous review process to select its Baby-Friendly designees.
