To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to express my disappointment as a Cigna member. I pay my premiums to assure I can access the network of trusted doctors, specialist, and healthcare facilities I was promised by my health plan.

I use Mount Carmel not only because of convenience, but because of the quality care I receive. I know and trust my Mount Carmel physicians. I should not be required to seek care with an alternative medical provider who does not know my health history mid-year because Cigna chooses to prioritize its profit margin over my access to the medical professionals I already rely on.

It has become increasingly clear that leaders at Cigna are not putting patients first. It isn’t right that I will continue to pay my monthly premiums with fewer healthcare providers in the network I was promised. I implore Cigna to negotiate more fairly with Mount Carmel so I can continue to see the physicians I trust. If you do not, I will be forced to select a new health plan that keeps Mount Carmel in my network.
