Discharge
Your visit may end with discharge home or admission to the hospital.
- Your evaluation, test results, and diagnosis will determine the next steps in your care.
- If discharged, you will receive instructions from your nurse.
- Prescriptions may be sent electronically to your pharmacy or provided in print if needed.
- You will have an opportunity to ask questions about your care and instructions.
- If additional treatment is needed, admission may be recommended. While waiting for a hospital room, your care will continue in the emergency department.
