COLUMBUS – The Columbus Fury welcomes foundational Pillar Partner, Mount Carmel Health System, as the Official Community Healthcare Partner for the Fury. Mount Carmel is also a presenting partner of the Fury’s inaugural season.

“Mount Carmel is proud to sponsor The Columbus Fury, the first major women’s professional volleyball team in Central Ohio. This sponsorship reflects our unwavering support for women’s achievements on the court, in healthcare, our community and beyond,” said Lorraine Lutton, CEO of Mount Carmel Health System. “We look forward to cheering them on to victory this season and being a part of their journey to success.”

Founded by the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1886, Mount Carmel has a rich legacy of female leadership. At the forefront of providing the community with safe, high-quality healthcare for over 138 years are inspiring women leaders, ensuring the delivery of compassionate and effective medical services. To this day, this heritage is exemplified by the countless women leaders throughout the health system, which includes CEO Lorraine Lutton, and hospital presidents Tauana McDonald at Mount Carmel Grove City and Diane Doucette at Mount Carmel New Albany, St. Ann’s and Lewis Center.

“We are thrilled to have added a Pillar Partner of this standing,” said David Paitson, CEO of the Columbus Fury. “Mount Carmel has a strong track record of providing services for the community, many of which are specific to women. Through our #FuryServes community initiatives, we are working in alignment with Mount Carmel Health System on several projects and programs to benefit Central Ohio. We appreciate their partnership in our inaugural season.”

The Columbus Fury begins play Thursday, January 25, at Grand Rapids. The Fury host the Omaha Supernovas for the inaugural Opening Night at Nationwide Arena on Wednesday, February 21 at 7 p.m.
