Columbus, Ohio – Mount Carmel Health System has announced Brian Zimmerman, CPA, MBA has accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer effective August 10. He succeeds Andy Priday who is now serving as Vice President, Financial Operations for Mount Carmel’s parent company, Trinity Health.

Zimmerman brings over 18 years of progressive experience in healthcare finance, including leadership roles at both Mount Carmel Health System and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

“Brian’s deep expertise in cardiovascular services, his commitment to Mount Carmel’s core value of stewardship and his collaborative approach to operational leadership make him an exceptional fit for this role,” said Tauana McDonald, FACHE, President & CEO, Mount Carmel Health System.

In this role, Zimmerman will oversee the financial strategy, planning and performance for the entire health system. He will play a key role in guiding strategic financial decisions, supporting sustainable growth, and building on the already strong financial foundation.

Zimmerman received his Bachelor of Business Administration from The Ohio State University and his Master of Business Administration from Bowling Green State University. He also holds a Certified Public Accountant license. Brian is a parish member at St. John Newmann Church in Sunbury, Ohio. His family includes his wife, Syndi, who serves as a teacher at New Albany Local Schools, and two children.
