More than $534,000 in nursing scholarships were celebrated on April 9, 2026, at Mount Carmel’s annual Scholarship and Donor Recognition Dinner in Columbus. The event brought together students whose futures are shaped by philanthropy and the donors whose generosity makes their education possible.

This year, 210 scholarships were awarded to Mount Carmel College of Nursing students — a powerful testament to the commitment donors have to strengthening the nursing workforce. “Ninety percent of our students received financial assistance to pursue their nursing education,” shared Dr. Todd Ambrosia, President of the College. “Of the total awarded, $480,000 came directly from the Mount Carmel Foundation.”

Hosted by Mount Carmel Foundation President Paul McClelland, the evening also highlighted a new comprehensive grant to the College. This investment includes funding for 30 LPNs to advance through the LPN to RN program, supporting both career growth and the long term strength of our nursing workforce.

The dinner offered students the chance to personally thank the donors who are helping them achieve their dreams — and gave donors a firsthand look at the impact of their generosity.

Your support helps shape the next generation of nurses who will care for our communities with skill, compassion and purpose.
