A Care on Demand visit, also known as a telehealth, virtual or video visit, lets you see a health care provider via video on a smartphone, tablet or computer using secure software, from your home or a private location.

A Care on Demand visit is similar to a clinic visit, but it happens over video from your home or another private location. You can ask questions, discuss treatment options, adjust medications, or get a prescription. If needed, you may be referred for in-person care.

The cost is similar to an in-person visit. Co-payment, co-insurance and deductible amounts apply. You may receive a bill after Mount Carmel bills your insurance. Check your summary plan description or contact your insurance plan for coverage details.

Have a photo ID, insurance card(s), and current medication bottles ready.

Video and voice data are encrypted to protect your privacy. Virtual visits are not recorded and comply with all privacy regulations of in-person visits.
