Caring for Our Communities this Holiday Season

We couldn’t do it without you! Generous donor support has been critical in helping the Mount Carmel Mission serve as a transformative and healing presence in our community. Outside of our hospitals, Mount Carmel’s Community Health and Wellbeing programs are making a positive difference in the lives of thousands of people every year.

  • Crime and Trauma Assistance Program: in the past year, more than 200 victims of trauma and human trafficking have received life-changing therapy free of charge.
  • Fighting Infant Mortality With Healthy Moms and Babies: with nearly 13,000 interactions with expectant and new mothers last year, these programs help ensure babies are delivered full-term and healthy and live to celebrate their first birthday. They also keep mom healthy.
  • Street Medicine Program: Truly meeting people where they are, this team delivered 30,500 lunches during the pandemic and provided medical and social services through 2,350 interactions to those living in homeless camps and to the uninsured.
  • Von Zychlin Healthy Living Center: located in the heart of Franklinton, this vibrant community hub provides free holistic health and wellness education for community members, supporting long-term healthy behavior changes.
  • Outreach Services: Urban Health Peer supporters provided 5,400 hands-on engagements to care for the social needs of a variety of patients including those who suffer Substance-Use Disorder.

Giving Guidelines for the year end 2021

Mailed in donations received postmarked on or before December 31, 2021 will be recorded as the date of the postmark. Donations postmarked at a later date will be recorded as calendar year 2022.

Hand-delivered donations received on or before December 31, 2021 but processed after the New Year, will be recorded as the date on the check itself or the date received for non-check donations.

Please note the New Year’s Holiday falls on Saturday, January 1, 2021 and it is observed by Mount Carmel Health System on December 31, 2021 therefore the Corporate Services Center lobby will be closed and there will be no mail delivery on that day.
