“My daughter was transferred to MCGC from Diley Ridge Medical Center in severe sepsis from a kidney stone. Upon arrival to the Emergency Department, Ashley Sargent swiftly placed my daughter into a patient room and explained what the next steps were as she was aware that my daughter was very critical. Ashley kept open communication and my family updated. Later that evening after my daughter went through emergency surgery and continued to remain critical, we called her to assist in drawing lab specimens that were critical for continued care. At this time, my daughter was in severe septic shock and headed to the ICU.  Ashley graciously met me in the hallway and was successful at obtaining the needed blood specimen. I want to thank Ashley for her calmness, professionalism, communication and compassion in a very stressful time for my entire family. Please wear this Guardian Angel with pride as an outward sign of the difference you made in our lives.”
