Please be sure to read this information in its entirety for details on completing Mount Carmel New Colleague Orientation. You’ll receive an email containing these instructions the Friday before your orientation date. Please double check your spam/junk folders if needed.

New Colleague Orientation – Day One Requirements

You will not have access to HealthStream until your first day of employment (Monday).

  1. Complete the MCHS - New Hire All Colleagues and Students Curriculum – Virtual Orientation Day 1 online learning assignment

    Estimated completion time: 6 hours

    • You must complete the following assignment in Learn by 5:00 PM ET on the first day of employment (typically Monday) to receive attendance credit and eight hours of pay for New Colleague Orientation: MCHS - New Hire All Colleagues and Students Curriculum – Virtual Orientation Day 1 and MCR – Patient and Visitor Safety Event Reporting in Midas+. You should start your assignment no later than 8:00 AM on the first day of employment. You will also receive additional assignments in Learn to be completed at a later date.
    • You will utilize Azure MFA to log in to Learn. Attached you will find instructions on how to set up your Multi-Factor Authenticator (MFA) and how to access Learn from home. All colleagues and Service Partners must have their MFA set up correctly to access Learn from outside the network. If you need assistance with MFA, go to Trinity Health Help Me Connect. If these steps do not work, call the Service Desk (1-888-667-3003) for assistance.

**If you have not heard from your manager with your email address or temporary network password, please reach out to your manager directly to obtain this information.

    • A few days after you complete your New Hire assignment, you will receive an additional assignment in Learn to attend mandatory TogetherSafe Foundations of Safety Training. You must register for and attend a class within 60 days of hire. Please work with your manager for the best date and to attend class. TogetherSafe Foundations of Safety Training is essential to our Core Value of Safety—you’ll learn tools and behaviors for preventing harm and providing a healing, safe environment.

    • If you do not complete the online learning assignment in Learn by 5:00 PM ET on the first day of employment, you will not receive attendance credit, full pay, and cannot report to work for your second day of employment. Your start date will be moved to the next available orientation date.
